09th Sep 2011 - Vocalist Johan Lindstrand has rejoined reactivated THE CROWN. THE CROWN's current lineup: Johan Lindstrand - Vocals Magnus Olsfelt - Bass Marko Tervonen - Rhythm Guitar Janne Saarenpää - Drums Marcus Sunesson - Lead Guitar Commented the band: "We would like to thank our metal brother Jonas Stålhammar for the amazing teamwork for the last couple of years!!! Respect!!! Next week we'll start rehearsing new material (6-7 news songs written at this point). We hope to enter the studio early 2012. "We are thinking of doing a few Swedish dates within a couple of months (most likely a first reunion show in our hometown Trollhättan, this time in a proper club) and then focus on doing some kick-ass festivals in 2012." Added Lindstrand: "Once again I have been blessed with the opportunity to join my oldest friends and brothers in arms Marko, Janne, Magnus and Markus. I'm am so grateful for this and I will do my best to make the original lineup live up to all expectations and we will definitely have a total blast together while rippin' the world to pieces with a lot more years to come. "Yeah, from now on I am the lead singer in this classic death metal outfit called THE CROWN. Damn! That feels good to say. Johan Lindstrand: "No, I don't think so because we weren't that big in the first place. It'd be too much work to do a one off show, as I think everybody's doing a lot of work with their current bands. It would take a lot of strength from us to just do that." Lucem Fero: Would you be up for it? Johan Lindstrand: "No, I don't think so because as I said the other guys wanted to quit, and I was very disappointed at the other guys when they decided to quit." Lucem Fero: So THE CROWN is definitely over now then? Johan Lindstrand: "Yeah, because if they want to continue they'll have to do it with another singer. I'm very happy with ONE MAN ARMY now." 24th July 2006 - Johan (Army Forum): Well, I have total respect in the people that wants a Crown reunion. That band was active for a long time and made quite a name for itself. I mean, we got very close to a lot of people and we shook up the metalscene in a very extensive way in my opinion. So a big cheers and hello to all The Crown fans out there. Without you that band would have died much more sooner than it did. The thing is that this reunion will never happen, I`m very sorry to say. Not because we hate eachother or something. We are still friends, but because of the fact that everyone moved on with their new bands. And I was as you know by now the only one who continued to do aggressive music. Simply because I still wanted to do it and the other guys didn`t. So there are basically no reasons to have a reunion.
